Back to questions

My brace feels too loose or will not stay in

Please phone us as soon as possible and if you can, keep wearing the brace.

Back to questions

I have lost my brace

Please phone us immediately so we can arrange for a replacement. Please also note that the NHS charge for replacement braces.

Back to questions

My brace has broken

If the damage is minor and the brace is still wearable, keep wearing it and phone us for an appointment. If it is badly broken or you are unable to wear it, keep the brace in its box and phone us for an appointment. Do not wait until your next appointment as the breakage will delay your treatment and may result in damage to your teeth. We will always try to repair the brace but if this is not possible, please note that the NHS charge for replacement braces. If you repeatedly break your brace, your treatment may be stopped.

Back to questions

My brace is stuck in my mouth

Please contact us immediately for an emergency appointment. If the clinic is closed, please listen to the recorded message and follow the instructions.

Back to questions

My brace smells funny

You should clean the brace gently every time you brush your teeth. If you find regular cleaning is not enough to prevent odour, you can use Retainer Brite tablets (available at reception) to keep the brace smelling fresh.
